Duane Lively’s 2018 Mock Draft 0.5

With only 1 week remaining in the 2017 NFL regular season, it’s time to unveil the first Football Dungeon Mock Draft of the off-season.

The Cleveland Browns are on the clock.

1 Cleveland Browns Sam Darnold, QB, USC
Cleveland finally selects a franchise quarterback! Sam Darnold, and his gunslinger mentality will bring life back to the Dog Pound faithful. Darnold is the best quarterback prospect to enter the draft since Andrew Luck.
2 New York Giants Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA
Rumors are swirling that “Chosen” Rosen let it slip that he would rather play in New York than in Cleveland. He will get his wish, and replace a legend of a fan base with a win-now mentality. His talent will get him drafted second overall, but his words in the New York media might ultimately be what makes or breaks his career. The Giants will make a 180-maneuver, and go from humble Eli to an outspoken Rosen.
3 New York Jets – TRADE Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
The Indianapolis Colts trade the 3rd overall pick to the New York Jets for the 7th, 38th, and 73rd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Mason Rudolph is the quarterback hardly anyone is talking about, but his Peyton Manning like intelligence, work ethic, and professional demeanor will change all of that soon enough.
4 Cleveland Browns Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State
The Browns grab Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley in the first hour of the draft. I am not sure if the Browns can even mess this opportunity up. It’s fun to think about what that offense will be capable of.
5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Bradley Chubb, EDGE, NC State
The Bucs have no pass rush, and Chubb’s 42.5 tackles for loss and 20 sacks the past two seasons will quickly help change that.
6 Denver Broncos Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming
Going into week 17 of the 2017 NFL regular season, the Broncos are best in the league in yards allowed. However, it is tough to not give up any points with an offense that cripples field position. The Broncos need a franchise quarterback, because they clearly do not have one on the roster.
7 Indianapolis Colts – TRADE Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame
The Colts need a lot of help, and a trade-back makes perfect sense here. It’s hard to win games when your quarterback is getting sacked, and you have no answer on the other side of the ball. A couple of the acquired picks from trading back will be used to bolster the pass rush. The Colts have to keep Andrew Luck upright, because they are very close to blowing it, and ruining a generation quarterback.
8 San Francisco 49ers Minkah Fitzpatrick, S, Alabama
John Lynch will fall in love with the multi-dimensional defensive playmaker, who could have been the best corner in college football had he not been forced to played safety.
9 Chicago Bears Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
Ridley is certainly not the first pass-catcher to have limited duties in the run-happy Alabama offense. Ridley will be a welcomed addition to Mitchel Trubisky, and contribiute immediately to the plaqued wide reciever corps in Chicago.
10 Cincinnati Bengals Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma
The Bengals can stock-pile running backs and pass-catchers all they want to, but they’re not going to have success until the offensive line is addressed.
