Clelin Ferrell redshirted his freshman season (2015), because he was a bit undersized at 225 pounds. Spent the season adding 40 pounds to his frame and bulking up to a prototypical 265 pounds.
Started all 15 games in his sophomore (redshirt freshman) season. Performed at a very high level, recording 50 tackles (12.5 for loss), 6 sacks, and a team-high 24 quarterback pressures. Left the College Football Playoff National Championship game early with an ankle injury.

Clemson uses Clelin Ferrell in a variety of different ways, but he mostly lines up on the right side. He will sometimes stand up and also drop into coverage. He plays big in big games. Can’t block him with a tight end.
